Hometown Love Fund Project and Out-of-School Youth Support Project Operation
The Yangsan City Out-of-School Youth Support Center in Gyeongnam has been operating a workshop program for out-of-school youth since August, funded by donations collected through the Yangsan City Hometown Love Donation Program.
These programs are planned and operated to meet the needs and expectations of out-of-school youth, and include a companion dog trainer certification course, heavy equipment and training certification course, computer ITQ certification course, ultralight drone (Type 3) certification course, workplace experience program for out-of-school youth, and media education program, totaling six areas of focus.
In particular, these educational programs are designed and offered as a foundation for career exploration and employment (or entrepreneurship) for out-of-school youth, with an emphasis on supporting their entry into society and independence.
A participant in the ultralight drone (Type 3) certification course said, "It is not easy to access a drone certification class, but I was able to participate through this opportunity. It was fun and enjoyable to fly various types of drones myself. I recently took the written test and was proud to have passed."
The Yangsan City Out-of-School Youth Support Center operates tailored support programs for out-of-school youth, including academic support, vocational training and certification, and self-development projects, helping them to freely pursue their dreams and talents.
