Exhibition of Products Targeting the Global Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Market
Kyungdong Navien announced on the 19th that five of its products won main awards at the U.S. ‘IDEA Design Awards.’ The awarded products are the ‘Condensing Hydro Furnace,’ ‘Condensing Air Conditioner,’ ‘Navien 3D Air Hood,’ ‘Sleep Mat Carbon,’ and ‘Water Treatment System,’ recognized for their excellence in design optimized to provide a comfortable living environment.
The ‘IDEA Design Awards,’ hosted by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), is considered one of the world’s top three design awards alongside Germany’s ‘iF Design Award’ and ‘Red Dot Design Award.’
The awarded ‘Condensing Hydro Furnace (NPF)’ features a diagonal line inspired by the healthy human body temperature of 36.5 degrees, enhancing visual completeness to harmonize naturally with the installation space. The ‘Condensing Air Conditioner’ applies soft curved shapes to express comfortable air, minimizes height differences with the ceiling, and blends naturally with indoor spaces.
The ‘Navien 3D Air Hood’ also incorporates a space-customized design considering consumer convenience. Using restrained lines to match the product’s characteristic of forming an air curtain that blocks the spread of harmful substances generated during cooking, it naturally integrates into the kitchen. The ‘Sleep Mat Carbon’ reflects a design optimized for a restful sleeping environment. The ‘Water Treatment System,’ scheduled for release in North America, is designed for easy installation and use in various water piping environments.
Kim Yongbeom, Kyungdong Navien’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, said, “All submitted works achieved excellent results at this global award, recognizing Kyungdong Navien’s differentiated design. We will continue to strive to present optimal designs that harmonize both technology and living spaces to make customers’ daily lives more comfortable.”
