Body of a man in his 50s found with mutilated body parts
"No signs of criminal suspicion found yet"
A man in his 50s with mutilated body parts was found dead in the waterway of the Gyeongin Ara Waterway in Incheon, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
According to the police, at around 10 a.m. on the 18th, a report was received by 112 stating that "a person is floating by the water" in the Ara Waterway in Nooji-dong, Gyeyang-gu. The body of a man in his 50s, identified as Mr. A, was found floating by the water with some parts of his body mutilated by the police who responded to the report.
The police requested an autopsy of Mr. A's body from the National Forensic Service to determine the exact cause of death. They are also searching for the missing body parts based on nearby closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage.
A police official stated, "It seems that Mr. A's time of death was not long ago, and no signs of criminal suspicion have been found yet. Since some parts of the body are missing, we are searching the surrounding area."
