Jeju Air to Launch Fourth Flight Route Next Month
Launch of Walking Record Service 'Sanchaek'

LG Uplus's pet household community platform 'Podong' will embark on the fourth flight of the only domestic pet dog-friendly 'Podong Exclusive Flight' next month in collaboration with Jeju Air.

The Podong Exclusive Flight features all seats designated as pet dog companion seats, allowing owners to sit side by side with their dogs and enjoy the journey together onboard. A veterinarian also accompanies the flight for safety.

This flight is scheduled to depart from Gimpo to Jeju at 11:35 AM on the 26th of next month and return at 6:45 PM on the 28th. It is offered as a package consisting of three seats: two guardians and one pet dog, priced at 750,000 KRW (excluding fuel surcharge and airport tax of 88,600 KRW). Tickets went on sale starting from the 9th.

The Podong Exclusive Flight, which has flown three times previously, sold out all tickets each time, gaining great popularity. The number of Podong subscribers is also on the rise. As of the end of March, just before the pet dog exclusive flight operation, there were about 460,000 subscribers, which increased by approximately 35% to 620,000 as of the first week of September. Additionally, a survey conducted among passengers of the third flight in August showed that 90% of customers responded that they were 'satisfied.'

Since launching the service in August 2022, Podong has introduced services such as ▲Dog Behavior Type Indicator (DBTI) ▲expert consultations ▲pet household exclusive commerce. Recently, it also launched ‘Sanchaek’ (Walk), a dog walking record service. Sanchaek records the number of walks taken by the dog and provides expert consultations based on this data as a pet health management service.
