Providing Opportunities for Disaster Safety Experiences such as Earthquake Simulation, Fire Evacuation and Suppression, and Descender Training
Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) will operate the ‘Safety Experience Festival’ during the Guro G Festival held at Anyangcheon from the 27th to the 29th of this month.
The Safety Experience Festival, running from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., is designed to provide residents with a nearby and easy opportunity to experience disaster safety in their daily lives by setting up a safety education space.
At the disaster safety experience booths, residents can directly experience four types of disaster safety activities: ▲earthquake simulation ▲fire evacuation ▲fire suppression ▲escape device (wan-gang-gi) experience, learning the correct use of fire extinguishers and how to wear the escape device.
The experience booths are conducted by professional instructors who have obtained disaster safety specialist qualifications.
Additionally, to attract the interest and enthusiasm of festival visitors, a stamp event is prepared where participants who complete safety experience missions receive stamps.
Anyone visiting the Guro G Festival can participate, and they can receive safety education by following the guidance of safety staff stationed at the event site.
A Guro-gu official said, “We hope that residents learn disaster safety response methods through this experience so they can effectively cope in emergency situations,” adding, “We will do our best to make Guro a safe place.”
Furthermore, the district plans to conduct a safety culture campaign during this festival to actively promote safety culture, prevent safety accidents, and raise awareness about safety.
