Lotte Mart Offers 30% Discount on Norwegian Salmon... "Lowest Price of the Year"

Lotte Mart announced on the 19th that it will hold a price-breaking discount event selling fresh Norwegian raw salmon at the lowest price of the year until the 30th.

The products in this event are premium raw salmon of superior grade directly imported by air from Norway. L.POINT members can enjoy up to 35% discount, offering sashimi-grade salmon at 3,770 KRW per 100g and grilling-grade salmon at 3,640 KRW per 100g, which is about 30% cheaper compared to the current market price of Norwegian raw salmon. This is the lowest price based on Lotte Mart’s 2024 salmon sales.

Lotte Mart planned this price-breaking salmon event to ease customers’ food concerns and shopping basket burdens that increase after the holidays and to lead price stabilization. To this end, Lotte Mart’s seafood MD signed a pre-contract with a Norwegian local partner four months ago and secured about 30 tons of event stock.

In addition to Norwegian raw salmon, Lotte Mart will offer various salmon products through this event. The ‘Patagonia Air-Direct Salmon (500g)’ is available at 22,900 KRW, discounted by 7,000 KRW for L.POINT members. The ‘Sushi Kouji Aged Salmon Sashimi,’ created in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef ‘Kouji,’ is offered with a 2,000 KRW discount at 11,900 KRW. The ‘Dongwon Easy One-Meal Smoked Salmon’ is also available at a 30% discounted price of 6,930 KRW.

A price stabilization seafood discount event will also be held. A representative product, ‘Price-Stabilized Jeju Hairtail (per fish, thawed, domestic),’ is sold at 2,900 KRW. The ‘Cut Octopus (100g/thawed/Thailand origin),’ known as a nourishing autumn food, is offered at 1,090 KRW, and ‘Prepared Squid (per fish, thawed, distant-water origin)’ is available at 2,750 KRW.

Cho Sung-yeon, MD (Merchandiser) of Lotte Mart Super Seafood Team, said, “We prepared to offer the most popular seafood, salmon, at the lowest price of the year to reduce customers’ shopping basket burdens during high inflation and contribute to price stabilization. We also have various seafood discount events, so we ask for your interest, and we will continue to strive to lead price stabilization with reasonable prices.”
