Operation of Camping Site, Book Rest Area, and Woodworking Experience Center at Cheonwang Neighborhood Park, Guro-gu

September 21 to November 10, Every Weekend and Holiday 10 AM to 5 PM 'Daily Park Leisure Program' Operation

Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) will operate a one-day park leisure program utilizing leisure facilities such as the campground, book rest area, and woodworking experience center within Cheonwang Neighborhood Park (Hanggol District) from September 21 to November 10.

Cheonwang Neighborhood Park (Hanggol District) has established itself as a place where anyone can enjoy leisure by sequentially opening the Cheonwangsan Family Campground in September 2020, the smart farm in November 2021, the book rest area in March 2022, and the woodworking experience center in March 2024.

The Cheonwangsan Family Campground sells out every month as soon as reservations open, and the woodworking experience center has been very popular among residents, with about 1,200 users within six months of its opening.

Accordingly, the district unveiled its eagerly prepared new park leisure program, "Bukdodneun Supcance in Cheonwang."

"Bukdodneun Supcance in Cheonwang" is a one-day program for families to participate in every weekend and public holiday (October 3 and 9) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The program name means "enjoying a vacation (vacance) in the forest of Cheonwangsan while stimulating interest in reading books (book) and ecology."

A total of 16 sessions are scheduled from September 21 to November 10, and it features diverse use of leisure facilities within Cheonwang Neighborhood Park (Hanggol District), such as the campground's idle land, book rest area, and woodworking experience center.

Specifically, programs include ▲ decorating our family tarp ▲ curious about Cheonwangsan ecology ▲ making a memory frame of Cheonwangsan ▲ exciting ecological play festival, allowing the whole family to enjoy nature together.

Due to the outdoor nature of the program, it will not operate in case of heavy rain.

Families wishing to participate can make reservations on the Seoul Public Service Reservation website and then join. The fee is 5,000 KRW per family.

Moon Heon-il, Mayor of Guro-gu, said, "It will be a more attractive program as you can enjoy various leisure facilities of Cheonwang Neighborhood Park all in one day," adding, "We will continue to prepare various park leisure programs to add vitality to residents' lives."
