A YouTuber in her 30s with 200,000 subscribers revealed her solitary Chuseok holiday experience through a video titled "This is what happens during holidays if you don't get married."

YouTuber Shin Aromi (37) posted a 27-second short-form video on her YouTube channel on the 17th. The video, captioned "Warning: Unhappiness and Misery," shows her enjoying a leisurely time in Georgia. She shared an update, saying, "After my book 'How to Live Well Alone' topped the overall domestic book sales charts and signed a book export contract with a New York publishing agency, I have been traveling alone in Georgia for over a month."

She said, "I was sad because I had no in-laws to visit during the holidays, so I tidied up my bedding, spaced out, and sadly only prepared my own meals since I couldn't even take care of my husband and child's food." She added, "I went trekking because I was bored. This is all I can do. Oh, I am really unhappy. If you don't want to be as unhappy as me, make sure to get married."

In an earlier interview with AFP, Shin Aromi said, "Not getting married is the greatest achievement of my life," and added, "I have never once aimed to become a good wife or mother or to build my own family as my life's biggest goal." She also expressed satisfaction with her current life, saying, "My goal is to earn money while traveling freely," and "I am content living a self-directed life where I can freely do what I want in spaces I like." However, Shin Aromi stated that she does not identify as a non-marriage advocate.

The media also highlighted her book. Her book, 'How to Live Well Alone,' published last February, attracted significant attention by ranking first on major bestseller lists after its release. This book is Shin Aromi's first essay.
