Co-hosted by SK and the Ulsan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the event is supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Presidential Committee on Local Autonomy, Ulsan Metropolitan City, Ulsan City Council, University of Ulsan, and Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). Government offices, businesses, academia, and community members from the Ulsan region will participate both online and offline.

This year’s forum is expected to be attended by over 300 people, including Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom, Ulsan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Lee Yoon-chul, University of Ulsan President Oh Yeon-cheon, as well as Chairman Chey Tae-won, SK Innovation President Park Sang-gyu, and other SK members.

The forum will be conducted in two sessions: ▲Smart Manufacturing, the Future of Next-Generation Manufacturing ▲New Regions, Harmony of Culture and Environment, featuring keynote speeches, case presentations, and panel discussions.

In particular, it will be an opportunity to share solutions applying new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation (DX) in Ulsan’s manufacturing industry, and to propose a new regional model for the future by adding cultural and environmental content to the industrial city of Ulsan.

Previously, the Ulsan Forum discussed social value and green growth in the local community under the theme "ESG, Opening Ulsan’s Future" in 2022. Last year, it addressed youth happiness and changes in the industrial capital under the theme "ESG, Creating Ulsan’s Future Together."

An SK official said, "This year will be an opportunity to find concrete answers to solve Ulsan’s regional issues," adding, "We hope it will serve as a chance to present a new regional community model by approaching from various perspectives such as technology, culture, and environment."
