On the last day of the Chuseok holiday, the 18th, late summer heat will continue in most parts of the country, with showers expected.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, occasional clouds are expected nationwide on the 18th. The highest apparent temperature will rise above 35 degrees Celsius, mainly in the southern Gyeonggi region, Chungcheong area, and southern provinces.

Expected rainfall from showers on the 18th is 5 to 30 mm in Seoul, eastern inland Gyeonggi, central and southern inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, and Chungbuk. Rainfall is forecasted to be 5 to 40 mm in Gwangju, Jeonnam, Jeonbuk, Daegu, inland Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam. Jeju Island will receive 5 to 20 mm of rain.
Despite the showers, hot weather is expected to continue nationwide. The lowest morning temperatures are forecasted to be between 22 and 27 degrees Celsius, and the highest daytime temperatures between 26 and 35 degrees Celsius.
Morning low temperatures in major areas are ▲Seoul 26°C ▲Incheon 26°C ▲Gangneung 24°C ▲Daejeon 25°C ▲Gwangju 25°C ▲Daegu 25°C ▲Busan 27°C.
Daytime high temperatures are ▲Seoul 31°C ▲Incheon 30°C ▲Gangneung 28°C ▲Daejeon 33°C ▲Gwangju 34°C ▲Daegu 34°C ▲Busan 33°C.
Sea waves are predicted to be 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea and South Sea coastal waters. Wave heights in the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline) are expected to be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the West Sea and South Sea.
Fine dust levels are expected to be 'Good' to 'Moderate' across all regions.
