On the same day, former President Trump issued a statement on his campaign fundraising site, declaring that he would not succumb to threats against his safety and would stand firm.

In the statement, he said, "Do not be afraid! I am safe and healthy, and no one was hurt," adding, "Thank God. However, there are people in this world who will do anything to stop us. I will never stop fighting for you. I will never surrender."

He continued, "I will always love those who have supported me," and pledged, "Through unity, we will make America great again," appealing to his supporters to contribute to his campaign funds.

Former President Trump had also encouraged his supporters to raise campaign funds when he miraculously sustained only minor injuries after being shot during an outdoor rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.
