Ulsan Agricultural Technology Center: "Education on Using Korean Rice to Promote Rice Consumption"

A total of 6 sessions with 120 participants operated

The Ulsan Agricultural Technology Center is currently conducting a 'Specialized Training on Processed Foods Using Korean Rice' to promote the consumption of domestically produced rice.

According to the center, changes in modern dietary habits have led to a decrease in rice consumption, and the resulting rice stockpiles in the Ulsan region are increasing the burden on local rice farmers.

The Ulsan Agricultural Technology Center organized this training to foster leaders who will promote rice consumption by informing Ulsan farmers and urban residents about the excellence and diverse uses of Korean rice.

The program is being conducted for a total of 120 participants in six sessions, with 20 people per session.

The training covers understanding Korean rice, various ways to use Korean rice, and hands-on practice in processing Korean rice.

Over 90% of participants in the first and second sessions responded that their interest in Korean rice and processed foods made with Korean rice increased significantly after the training.

The third session will be held from October 4 to 11. Applications can be submitted through the Ulsan Agricultural Technology Center website starting September 13, and the first 20 applicants will be selected.

An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, "We hope this will serve as an opportunity to expand the foundation for continuous rice consumption by promoting the value and various uses of Korean rice," and added, "We will continue to focus on educational efforts to raise awareness for promoting rice consumption."
