President Yoon Suk-yeol gave an urgent order on the 16th to "do your best to rescue lives" in relation to the fishing boat capsizing accident that occurred in the waters off Gunsan, Jeonbuk.
On the same day, President Yoon issued an urgent directive to the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries and the Commissioner of the Korea Coast Guard to "mobilize all available personnel and equipment to do your best to rescue lives," White House spokesperson Jeong Hye-jeon conveyed in a written briefing.
