Busan Cultural Foundation (CEO Lee Miyeon) will host the 'Mallangmallang Music Festival' on the 21st and 22nd, connecting the Gamman Creative Culture Village and F1963 venues.
The 'Mallangmallang Music Festival,' held alongside Gamman Sangsang Day and Open Square, will feature performances by indie bands gaining attention both in Busan and internationally, as well as a market and experience zone, food zone, and more, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere.
Gamman Sangsang Day is an event that utilizes the remodeled, former school building of Gamman Creative Culture Village to offer timely cultural and artistic programs through a variety of concepts such as performances, exhibitions, and hands-on activities. Open Square is a performance planning project at F1963, a repurposed industrial facility turned cultural and artistic space, hosting regular performances across diverse genres.
The two events, which have been held annually, will be combined for this edition to expand the local cultural scene. Both venues will be transformed to highlight their unique characteristics, promising a special music festival experience.
On the 21st at Gamman Creative Culture Village, the lineup includes ▲ADOY, known for their outstanding musicianship rooted in synth-pop, ▲Jisokuriclub, pioneers of camping rock and fishing pop, and ▲Haetheway, a promising band with a sophisticated groove. In addition, a ▲market and experience zone featuring Busan silkscreen artists and a ▲food zone will offer a variety of attractions for visitors.
On the 22nd at F1963, performances will include ▲Dickpunks, who boast a wide musical spectrum, ▲Band Girin, a new wave group with refreshing sounds, and ▲Yangchigisonyeondan, a free-spirited alternative rock band. Visitors can also enjoy the various facilities and rest areas within the multi-complex cultural space of F1963.
A representative from the Busan Cultural Foundation stated, "We hope the 'Mallangmallang Music Festival' will become a festival where indie musicians and Busan citizens come together. We also anticipate that this event will further vitalize Gamman Creative Culture Village and F1963 as regenerated spaces offering rich cultural and artistic experiences."
The event is free to attend on both days without prior reservation, and further details can be found on the Busan Cultural Foundation's website and social media channels.
