"Need to Write a Resume During Chuseok"... Bank Sector's Second Half Recruitment Kicks Off

As most domestic banks complete their application process for the second half of the year’s open recruitment for new employees within this month, job seekers aiming for employment in the banking sector are expected to be busy refining their self-introduction letters during the Chuseok holiday period.

According to the financial sector on the 14th, KB Kookmin Bank will conduct new recruitment of about 200 people in the second half of the year. The open recruitment will select around 160 people across five categories: UB, ICT, special recruitment for discharged officers, special recruitment for specialized high schools, and special recruitment for veterans. A special recruitment category for discharged officers has also been newly established. Applications can be submitted on the KB Kookmin Bank recruitment website until the 23rd of this month, and the final successful candidates will be announced in December.

Hana Bank is recruiting a similar number of people across four categories: general, digital·ICT, local talent, and design creator. The document submission deadline is scheduled for 6 p.m. on September 25, and the final successful candidates will enter the Hana Global Campus located in Cheongna, Incheon Metropolitan City, in December for new employee training.

Shinhan Bank has also been recruiting about 130 new employees for the second half of the year since the 2nd of this month. The recruitment is conducted through △general new employee open recruitment △digital·ICT rolling recruitment △special recruitment for social value, with the document submission period ending on the 19th of this month.

Woori Bank, which was the first among banks to conduct new employee recruitment last month, plans to hire 210 employees across six categories including corporate finance, personal finance, and digital·IT. The list of candidates who passed the document screening was announced on the 13th, and written and interview tests are forthcoming. The final selected talents will receive preferential benefits allowing them to apply via a fast track to the 'Next Generation RM (Corporate Finance)·PB (Asset Management) Pre-training Course,' a future sales specialist selection process after joining the bank.

Regional banks are also closing document submissions for the second half open recruitment during the Chuseok holiday. According to BNK Financial Group, the group is recruiting new employees for Kyongnam Bank and Busan Bank. To expand local talent recruitment, a regional screening by recruitment category is also conducted for applicants who graduated from schools located in Busan, Ulsan, and Kyongnam regions, based on their highest education level (for graduate school graduates, their undergraduate education is considered). Document submissions are accepted until 5 p.m. on the 18th. BNK Capital and BNK Savings Bank, affiliates of the group, will conduct recruitment at the end of this month and early next month, respectively.
