Free Admission to the History Museum for All Visitors from 16th to 18th: Childhood Games and Indoor/Outdoor Experience Programs for Parents and Children
"Chuseok Holiday! Share the nostalgic memories of your childhood with your child!"
The Busan Modern and Contemporary History Museum will operate the Chuseok program "Back in the Day, Nostalgia Playground" in conjunction with the museum's children's experience room Deullak Nallak, from the 16th to the 18th during the Chuseok holiday.
This program consists of educational and indoor/outdoor experience activities themed around the childhood games and memories of parents from a time without digital devices, but full of joyful memories. It is free for everyone to enjoy, regardless of age or gender.
The operating hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The educational program, "Busan Modern and Contemporary History Museum Quiz King: Chuseok Edition," allows participants to explore the history and exhibitions of the main and annex buildings through activity sheets.
Activity sheets can be collected at the information desks of both the main and annex buildings. A small prize will be given to the first 300 participants each day who achieve a perfect score.
Indoor experience programs include ▲"Mom's Stationery Store," a paper doll play experience to share mothers' childhood memories ▲"Dad's Arcade," a recreation of a retro arcade ▲"Family Entertainment Center," a lottery game easier than winning the lotto ▲"Sweet Museum," a dalgona candy-making experience reminiscent of old snacks from that era.
These programs will be held for the first 200 participants per program each day at the citizen convenience area on the first floor of the main building.
Outdoor experience programs will feature a variety of activities that everyone can enjoy, such as ▲nostalgic horse riding ▲Sapangchigi ▲Ttakjichigi, and other games that were popular in childhood alleys.
These will be held on a first-come, first-served basis without any participant limit at the outdoor rest yard on the first floor of the main building.
In addition, to celebrate Chuseok, a KakaoTalk friend-adding event will be held for visitors to the museum. The first 300 people to become friends with the museum on KakaoTalk will receive a special Chuseok gift.
