[Tomorrow's Weather] Rain Expected on the First Day of Chuseok Holiday... Southern Region Hits 35 Degrees Heat

On the first day of the Chuseok holiday (Saturday), the 14th, rain is expected in most parts of the country. In the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon Province, and northern Chungcheong region, occasional rain will fall until the afternoon, and rain will continue until night in the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon.

Expected precipitation amounts are 20-60mm (with some areas exceeding 80mm) in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon Province, 10-40mm in the Chungcheong region, and 5-20mm in Ulleungdo and Dokdo. In the Gyeongbuk region, showers of 5-40mm are expected from afternoon to night in some areas.

Daytime high temperatures will rise above 30 degrees Celsius mainly in the Chungcheong region, southern areas, and Jeju Island, making it hot and humid. Morning low temperatures are forecasted to be between 21 and 26 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius.

Fine dust levels will be between 'Good' and 'Moderate' across all regions due to smooth atmospheric dispersion and the influence of precipitation.

Strong swells will flow into the coasts of Jeju Island and the southern coast, causing waves to overflow onto coastal roads in some areas.

Sea waves will be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea nearshore, and 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the nearshore areas of the West Sea and South Sea. In the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are predicted to be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea, West Sea, and South Sea.
