The senior delegation of the Democratic Party of Korea in the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly recently visited the Gyeonggi Fire and Disaster Headquarters, which relocated to the former Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly building, and took a commemorative photo with the headquarters staff, including Cho Sun-ho, head of the Fire and Disaster Headquarters.
The senior delegation of the Democratic Party of Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly visited the Gyeonggi Fire and Disaster Headquarters, which relocated to the former Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly building, on the 13th to inspect the emergency response system during the Chuseok holiday and to listen to difficulties related to the headquarters' relocation.
The visit included Representative Choi Jong-hyun, Chief Coordinator Lee Yong-wook (Paju 3), Planning Chief Shin Mi-sook (Hwaseong 4), and Communication Cooperation Chief Lee Chae-myung (Anyang 6).
The Fire and Disaster Headquarters moved on the 9th from Gwonseon-gu to the former Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly building in Paldal-gu, which has been prepared as the fire safety complex building ‘Gyeonggi Fire Safety Maru,’ and officially began operations.
After completing remodeling of the former provincial assembly building, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters relocated administrative departments, except for the 119 Integrated Situation Room, over the past two weeks. Gyeonggi Province plans to sequentially open cultural and experiential facilities for residents, including a safety experience center and fire and assembly archives, as part of the second phase of the project by February next year.
Representative Choi Jong-hyun stated, "With the relocation, the workspace and parking facilities have expanded, improving work convenience and allowing residents to use the facilities more comfortably." He promised, "The Democratic Party will actively support the successful completion of the fire safety complex building to significantly enhance the safety culture level of the residents."
