Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Bok-gyu) announced that it will adjust and change the operating schedule of the 'Hwasun Kkotgang-gil Music Fountain' performances, which have been running since March, starting from the 13th.
The music fountain performances were originally held four times a week (Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) once each, and twice on Saturdays, but will be changed to daily performances seven days a week, with one performance on weekdays and two performances on Saturdays.
Additionally, starting in October, the 8 PM performance will be rescheduled to 7 PM in proportion to the sunset time, and the music fountain performances, which were originally scheduled to operate until October 31, will be temporarily extended until November 15.
This decision was made after comprehensively considering various residents' opinions, including viewers who expressed difficulties in watching due to performances being held only on specific days. The plan is to provide more opportunities for people to enjoy the music fountain show by creating a viewing environment that is not restricted by specific days.
The Hwasun Kkotgang-gil Music Fountain can also be viewed from the Gaemisan Observatory, which has been in operation since July this year, and it has gained great popularity among residents and tourists alike, attracting numerous visitors through word of mouth and SNS.
Lee Hyun-seok, Director of the Facility Management Office, said, "The area around the Hwasun Kkotgang-gil Music Fountain, harmonized with diverse cultural and artistic performances such as colorful fountain shows, flower paths, nightscapes, and busking, will establish itself as Hwasun's number one cultural tourism destination, offering both sights and entertainment."
