Chilgok County Selects C&E Innovation and L&Y as Promising Companies... "Supporting Growth of Small but Strong Enterprises"

Three Star Companies Receive Certificates: Komotek, Wonpungmulsan, Saemchorong

Chilgok County announced on the 13th that it has selected two promising companies and three star companies as part of its SME Growth Ladder Project and awarded them certificates of recognition.


The Chilgok County SME Growth Ladder Support Project is a program aimed at discovering small and medium-sized enterprises with high technological competitiveness and growth potential, and nurturing them into global small giants that will lead the county's strategic industries.

Promising companies represent the first stage of the Growth Ladder Support Project operated by Chilgok County, targeting manufacturing or knowledge service industry SMEs with less than 1 billion KRW in sales in the previous year and less than seven years of business history. This year, CN Innovation Co., Ltd. and L&Y Co., Ltd. were selected.


Star companies, the second stage, are local leading companies with future growth potential among manufacturing SMEs that have continued business in Chilgok County for more than three years and achieved sales of over 1 billion KRW in the previous year. This year, Komotek Co., Ltd., Wonpung Mulsan Co., Ltd., and Saemchorong Co., Ltd. were selected.


Companies selected as promising or star companies will receive benefits from Chilgok County for the next three years, including up to 20 million KRW per company, preferential limits for SME operating funds, and priority participation in SME support programs.


Kim Jaeuk, Governor of Chilgok County, stated, "We will actively support promising local companies with future growth potential and high technological capabilities, as well as representative local star companies, so that they can grow into global small giants that drive the creation of quality jobs and the sustainable growth of the local economy."


Meanwhile, CN Innovation Co., Ltd., selected as a promising company this year, is based in Gasan-myeon, Chilgok County, and is growing as an eco-friendly company leading carbon neutrality by developing Zeolest Ball, an innovative barefoot walking material made from eco-friendly natural minerals, and acquiring various patents and certifications. L&Y Co., Ltd. is a technology-innovative startup that provides CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) solutions for the entire process of medical device product development, production, and sales, and is expected to have a bright future.


Komotek Co., Ltd., selected as a star company, manufactures high thermal conductivity silicone pads used in electronic components and secondary batteries requiring heat dissipation. Through its corporate research institute, it possesses unrivaled expertise in advanced new materials, and based on this, it is expected to achieve continuous growth through supply contracts not only with existing clients such as Hanwha Vision and Shinsung Electronics, but also with LG Chem, Hyundai Mobis, and Hanwha Qcells.


Wonpung Mulsan Co., Ltd., established in 1987 and specializing in supplying nonwoven fabrics for automotive interiors and exteriors, recorded sales of 26.8 billion KRW last year and employs 46 people, holding a high market share in the automotive materials market for major car manufacturers such as Hyundai, Kia, Ssangyong, and Toyota.


Saemchorong Co., Ltd. is a food company that has been producing and distributing food products for 23 years, specializing in tteokbokki and manufacturing ready-to-cook food products. Currently, it is expanding from OEM production for major companies such as Dongwon and Nongshim to pioneering overseas markets with its own brands such as Yorigoongri, Mugsaem, and Gaeulae, in line with the K-food trend.
