The Bank of Korea announced on the 13th that the amount of Korean currency supplied to domestic financial institutions during the 10 business days before Chuseok reached approximately 3.7 trillion won.
This figure represents a decrease of about 200 billion won (-4.2%) compared to the same period last year.
The Bank of Korea explained that the issuance amount decreased because the Chuseok holiday period was shortened from 6 days last year to 5 days this year.
