On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the founding of SNT Group, Chairman Choi Pyungkyu delivered a commemorative speech on the 13th under the theme of "Bold Challenge."
Chairman Choi began his speech by diagnosing the current era as "an age where crisis is the norm," stating, "Just like the natural law of the tides, the global perfect storm continues to bring waves of crises, both large and small, repeatedly surging and receding, heading toward the peak of a major collapse."
He continued, "Following the downfall of the Chinese economy, the triple waves of recession in U.S. manufacturing, high interest rates, high inflation, and high exchange rates are converging, spreading the fear of 'R (Recession)' throughout the global economy." He added, "The belief that large companies are too big to fail no longer holds true."
Chairman Choi further emphasized, "Until now, we have focused on solid internal management with the steadfastness of 'Jeongjungyeosan' (as calm and heavy as a mountain), building strong business fundamentals that can withstand any crisis. From now on, we must rigorously learn and boldly implement Admiral Yi Sunshin’s 'Seonseung-gujeon, Pilseung' strategy (win first, then seek battle, and ensure victory) to seize the historic opportunities that will arise after the perfect storm."
At the end of his speech, Choi Pyungkyu urged employees, "Do not become complacent with our current achievements, but prepare for the future with unwavering resolve. Please continue to uphold the SNT corporate legacy with the attitude of 'Jeongjungyeosan' and the 'Seonseung-gujeon, Pilseung' strategy."
