"Let's Gather Subscribers with iPhone 16"… SKT Giving Away Standby Me TV as a Prize

Free 1-Year Subscription to 'Perplexity Pro' Upon Sign-Up
Limited Edition 'Netflix Watch Kit' Giveaway by Lottery

SK Telecom will conduct pre-orders for the Apple iPhone 16 series for one week from the 13th to the 19th. In line with Korea being selected as a first-wave launch country, SKT has prepared a differentiated pre-order promotion exclusive to SKT.

First, a 'Daily Lucky Draw' event will be held, allowing pre-order customers to participate every day. For 22 days until the 4th of next month, about 500 people will be drawn daily to receive various prizes such as ▲LG Electronics StanbyMe TV ▲LG Electronics CineBeam projector ▲PlayStation 5 ▲Naver Pay points worth 5,000 KRW. Customers can participate in the lucky draw event every day simply by pre-ordering, and each prize will be individually delivered after the winner activates their device.


Customers who pre-order the iPhone 16 series and newly subscribe to the A.Dot service by the 26th will receive Naver Pay points worth 7,000 KRW.


SKT subscribers can also use the conversational search engine 'Perplexity Pro' by the US unicorn company Perplexity free of charge for one year (worth 290,000 KRW). This can be applied for on the event page within the A.Dot app.


Limited edition Netflix goods, the 'Netflix Watch Kit,' will also be provided through a lottery. This kit consists of a wireless charging tray, keyring, and curation cards. Any customer who purchases the iPhone 16 and subscribes to the Netflix benefit plan or T Universe Netflix subscription product can apply.


The promotion will be conducted in two rounds: the first from the 13th to the 19th, and the second from the 20th to the 27th, with 4,500 winners selected each time, totaling 9,000 winners. Winners will be individually notified on the 4th of next month.


SKT plans to release the iOS version of 'ZEM,' an app that helps children develop healthy smartphone habits, within this month. A total of 600 people will be awarded 50,000 KRW gift certificates for Baedal Minjok through a lottery. Eligible participants are parents who activate an iPhone 16 or customers aged 12 or under using an iPhone who register for the ZEM app and connect the ZEM apps of both parent and child.


Additionally, KT’s official online mall T Direct Shop offers a Morning Quick service (limited to the first 10,000 customers) that delivers devices on the morning of the activation day for pre-order customers. The monthly fee for the device damage insurance 'T iPhone Care 16' is set at 12,600 KRW per month (based on the iPhone 16 Pro model), which is 14% lower than before while maintaining the device loss coverage benefits.
