iPhone 16 Official Subsidies by Plan... LGU+ Up to 450,000 KRW · SKT 260,000 KRW

Advance Reservation Opens from 9 PM on the 13th

The three mobile carriers will begin pre-orders for the Apple iPhone 16 series from 9 PM on the 13th. Among the three carriers, LG Uplus offered the highest official subsidy of up to 450,000 KRW, which increases with more expensive plans.

SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus announced that they will start pre-sales of the iPhone 16 series from 9 PM on the same day.

Consumers can choose between the official subsidy, which provides a one-time discount on the device price, and the selective discount system, which offers monthly discounts over a contract period of about 2 to 3 years.

SK Telecom’s official subsidy was highest at 260,000 KRW for the Platinum plan (125,000 KRW/month).

Next, the subsidies were announced as 150,000 KRW for the Prime plan (89,000 KRW/month), 118,000 KRW for the Regular plan (69,000 KRW/month), 100,000 KRW for the Basic plan (49,000 KRW/month), and 86,000 KRW for the Compact plan (39,000 KRW/month).

This applies equally to all iPhone 16 models: the base, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max. SKT stated, "The announced subsidies are subject to change and will be finalized on the release date (September 20th)."

KT’s official subsidy was highest at 240,000 KRW for the Choice Premium plan (130,000 KRW/month). Following that were 201,000 KRW for Choice Special (110,000 KRW/month), 183,000 KRW for Special, 150,000 KRW for Choice Basic (90,000 KRW/month), 100,000 KRW for 5G Slip (37,000 KRW/month), and 69,000 KRW for 5G Junior (28,000 KRW/month).

For LG Uplus, the official subsidy was highest at 450,000 KRW for the iPhone 16 base and Pro models when subscribing to the 5G Premier Essential plan (85,000 KRW/month). The subsidies for major plans were 400,000 KRW for 5G Standard (75,000 KRW/month), 355,000 KRW for 5G Data Plus (66,000 KRW/month), and 208,000 KRW for 5G Mini (37,000 KRW/month).

For the iPhone 16 Plus and Pro Max models, LG Uplus’s official subsidy was highest at 230,000 KRW for the 5G Signature plan (130,000 KRW/month). The subsidies were set at 168,000 KRW for 5G Premier Regular (95,000 KRW/month), 117,000 KRW for 5G Data Plus (66,000 KRW/month), and 66,000 KRW for 5G Mini (37,000 KRW/month).
