The Daejeon Fire Headquarters announced that it will conduct special fire watch duty from the 13th to the 19th in observance of the Chuseok holiday.
During this period, all fire stations under the headquarters will be on emergency duty, maintain 100% operational readiness of firefighting equipment, and strengthen rapid on-site command and life-saving response systems through measures such as establishing emergency contact systems with related agencies for swift joint response.
To handle the surge in emergency calls during the holiday, the number of situation management staff at the 119 Integrated Situation Room will be increased by 2 to 4 people per day to provide disease consultation and emergency first aid guidance.
Additionally, through the KakaoTalk channel 'Daejeon Fire 119 Integrated Situation Room,' citizens will be able to search for hospitals and pharmacies to ensure there is no inconvenience in emergency situations.
An official from the Daejeon Fire Headquarters said, "As fires and safety accidents often occur at home, we ask everyone to pay special attention to safety during the holiday."
