Visiting Vocational Rehabilitation and Elderly Care Facilities to Encourage Residents and Staff

Jeong Myeong-geun, mayor of Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province, visited the vocational rehabilitation facility 'Haengbokhan Ilteo' and the elderly care facility 'Myohuiwon' on the 12th in celebration of the Chuseok holiday.

'Haengbokhan Ilteo' is a vocational rehabilitation facility for people with disabilities that provides programs such as social adaptation training and vocational adaptation training to ensure the stability of life and establish a foundation for independence for workers with disabilities. 'Myohuiwon' is an elderly care facility that provides daily living, medical, and rehabilitation support services to ensure the stability of life and health maintenance for senior citizens.

Mayor Jeong visited both facilities and listened to the difficulties faced by users and residents. He especially expressed his gratitude, saying, "I thank the facility managers and social welfare workers who are working hard on the front lines even during the Chuseok holiday."

Meanwhile, Hwaseong City supported 2,241 underprivileged households and 54 social welfare facilities in the area through designated donation sponsorships in celebration of Chuseok.
