113 Billion KRW Increase in Preparation for the 1st Supplementary Budget
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 13th that it finalized the second supplementary budget for this year at the city council's extraordinary session held on the 12th.
The second supplementary budget amounts to 3.52 trillion KRW, an increase of 113 billion KRW (3.32%) compared to the first supplementary budget of 3.407 trillion KRW. Of this, the general account increased by 113.4 billion KRW, while the special account decreased by 400 million KRW, according to the city.
In the general account revenue, 76.7 billion KRW was added to self-generated resources reflecting changes in non-tax revenue and reimbursement income, and 36.7 billion KRW was added to transfer income reflecting changes in national and provincial subsidies and adjustment grants.
Major projects with increased allocations in the general account expenditure budget include ▲free school meal support (6.9 billion KRW) ▲Eco Farm Land development (5.2 billion KRW) ▲Hwaseong Senior Plus Center (3.6 billion KRW) ▲Byeongjeom Multipurpose Gymnasium construction (3.4 billion KRW) ▲road snow and ice control operations (7.1 billion KRW) ▲Dangha Oilgan road widening and expansion project (2.9 billion KRW) ▲compensation payments for military airfield noise damage (7.0 billion KRW) ▲child allowance payments (3.1 billion KRW), among others.
Jung Myung-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong City, said, "This second supplementary budget was formulated with a focus on improving citizens' quality of life and resolving inconveniences in their daily lives. We will continue to manage finances to ensure that projects closely related to citizens proceed smoothly."
