Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the Culture Yard of the Culture Reservoir, where the '1st Youth MAPO Land' festival was held, on the morning of the 12th.
Hosted and organized by the Mapo Youth Culture House, this festival is Mapo District's first youth convergence festival that breaks down the boundaries between subjects such as humanities, cultural arts, social sciences, and engineering. It was prepared to help youth become key players in future society through convergent thinking.
Many companies participated in the festival, including Hongik University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, Mapo Social Economy Integrated Support Center, Seoul Viewer Media Center Seoul Center, Slunch Factory, Urban Biz Seoul, TamTam History, Pilsang, Venta VR, and Luxrobo, allowing youth to experience specialized technologies in various fields.
About 1,500 youths who participated in the festival enjoyed a meaningful time experiencing over 60 booths and comprehensive art performances such as dance and magic.
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said to the youth, “To solve the diverse and complex problems of future society, the ability to integrate knowledge from various fields is necessary,” and added, “I hope that through today’s festival, you will grow into creative and convergent talents.”
