The police have requested an arrest warrant for a suspect who posted the list of residents who did not participate in the collective resignation online under the title "Thankful Doctors."
On the 12th, the Cyber Investigation Unit 1 of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that they had applied for an arrest warrant against Mr. A, who posted and mocked the list of returning residents, on charges including violation of the Stalking Punishment Act.
The list in question was a general blacklist of doctors and residents that had spread mainly on social networking services (SNS). It included the affiliated hospitals, alma maters, and enrollment years of residents who did not participate in the collective resignation.
At the time, Mr. A wrote, "Following the wishes of the Minister of Health and Welfare, I intended to express gratitude to the doctors and medical students who are dedicating themselves to their medical duties solely for the patients even in this situation," adding, "Since I did not know those doctors personally and could not express my gratitude, I created and published a list of these admirable doctors."
