Ulleungdo Hit by Heavy Rainfall of 50mm per Hour, Damage Reported

In the Ulleung and Dokdo regions of North Gyeongsang Province, a heavy rain warning was issued at 11 p.m. on the 11th. On the 12th, torrential rain exceeding 50mm per hour fell during the day, resulting in numerous damages both large and small.

On the 12th, a 119 emergency medical technician was dispatched to Sadong-ri, Ulleung-eup to perform urgent on-site restoration.

Centered around Ulleung-eup, landslides and soil runoff occurred in various places, and the collapse of covered streams has added to the damages.

Currently, Ulleung County is mobilizing all administrative resources to carry out recovery efforts.
