The Daejeon Metropolitan Council held the 3rd plenary session of its 281st extraordinary meeting on the 12th, processing 78 agenda items and concluding the nine-day schedule.

At the session, the council passed 38 ordinances, including the "Ordinance on Free Public Transportation for Children in Daejeon." In addition, 35 consent items such as the "Agreement on Local Tax Reduction for Properties Damaged in Special Disaster Areas," 3 opinion hearings including the "Hearing on the 2040 Daejeon Urban Master Plan (Draft)," 1 regulation amendment such as the "Amendment to the Chungcheong Local Government Association Charter," and the "Approval of the 2024 Administrative Audit Plan" were processed, totaling 78 agenda items.

During the subsequent five-minute speeches, Councilor Ahn Kyungja called for "regulating the use of disposable cups in Daejeon public institutions," Councilor Min Kyungbae urged for "establishing active support measures for Glocal University 30," and Councilor Song Daeyoon demanded "measures to address traffic congestion in the Daehak-ro area in front of Yuseong District Office due to the construction of Urban Railway Line 2."
