Actor Kim Seonghwan Appointed as Public Ambassador of Dongducheon City

Mayor Park Hyung-deok of Dongducheon (right) is presenting a certificate of appointment as a promotional ambassador to actor Kim Seong-hwan.

Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) appointed popular actor and singer Kim Seong-hwan as its promotional ambassador on the 11th.

Kim Seong-hwan debuted as a 10th generation public talent of Tongyang Broadcasting Company (TBC) in 1970 and has been loved by the public for his profound acting in numerous dramas and films. He debuted as a singer in 1994 and received great love, and this year, he has maintained a friendly image by evoking public nostalgia with "Yakjangsu" and "Geosigi."

The city expects that Kim Seong-hwan's positive image will enhance the value of Dongducheon City and contribute to local promotion.

Mayor Park Hyung-deok said, "I am very pleased to appoint Kim Seong-hwan as our city's promotional ambassador," adding, "We will promote Dongducheon's beautiful nature, culture, and various tourist attractions together with Kim Seong-hwan."

Kim Seong-hwan expressed his feelings, saying, "I am very honored to be appointed as Dongducheon City's promotional ambassador. From today, I will do my best to widely publicize the charm of Dongducheon City."

Meanwhile, Kim Seong-hwan plans to participate in major events of Dongducheon City and carry out various promotional activities such as promoting the city's tourism and cultural resources.
