Yeongdeok County Governor Kim Kwangyeol, Town and Village Senior Association Leaders and Heads, Chuseok Communication Activities

Visiting 245 Villages Early in Term, Sharing Key Issues in Towns and Districts

Kim Kwangyeol, the governor of Yeongdeok County, North Gyeongsang Province, met with the heads of senior citizens' associations and village leaders from nine towns and townships in the county from September 9th to 12th, ahead of the Chuseok holiday. During these meetings, he shared updates on major county administration initiatives, discussed the direction for the latter half of his term, and listened to their opinions.

Yeongdeok County Governor Kim Kwangyeol, Town and Village Senior Association Leaders and Heads, Chuseok Communication Activities Gwangyeol Kim, the mayor of Yeongdeok County, is touring the nine towns and townships in the jurisdiction to communicate about county administration.

Previously, upon taking office as the 8th popularly elected governor in 2022, Governor Kim conducted an intensive tour of all 245 village senior centers in the county, listening to various suggestions and civil complaints and discussing solutions for them.


At that time, Yeongdeok County immediately addressed short-term civil complaints received from each village through the relevant departments, while for mid- to long-term issues, the county established thorough plans after departmental review and communicated with residents to resolve them.


This round of visits served as a follow-up to the previous tour, providing an opportunity to meet with the heads of senior citizens' associations and village leaders in each town and township to share the progress and future plans regarding major suggestions and to discuss the vision for the second half of the 8th term.


Regarding this tour, Governor Kim Kwangyeol emphasized, "The heads of the senior citizens' associations and village leaders are the roots that support our community and have made Yeongdeok what it is today. While running the county administration, I will not utter sweet words but will listen attentively to critical voices, striving to create a new Yeongdeok where all residents can be happy together."
