Applied for Housing Lease Contracts Under 100 Million Won
Seocho-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jeon Seong-su) announced on the 12th that it is implementing the ‘Brokerage Fee Support Project,’ which provides up to 300,000 KRW in real estate brokerage fees to ensure housing stability for low-income residents such as child-headed households and elderly living alone.
The Brokerage Fee Support Project is a program that provides cash support of up to 300,000 KRW in brokerage fees when residents who meet the requirements of Article 2 of the ‘Ordinance on Support for the Living Stability of Low-Income Residents in Seocho-gu, Seoul’?including child-headed households, single-parent families, elderly living alone, and unmarried parent households?enter into a lease contract for a jeonse (key money deposit) of 100 million KRW or less through a real estate agency within the district.
Eligible residents wishing to apply for support should bring a copy of the lease contract, brokerage fee payment receipt, beneficiary certificate, resident registration certificate, and a copy of their bankbook to the local community service center.
Seocho-gu expects a surge in applicants as the autumn moving season begins and urges residents who have not yet applied for brokerage fee support to do so promptly. District Mayor Jeon Seong-su stated, “We expect the real estate brokerage fee support service to be a great help to housing-vulnerable individuals in need,” and added, “We will focus our administrative capabilities to be a warm companion to low-income residents who need assistance.”
