Dexter Crema, a digital marketing company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI), introduced cases and strengths of applying Virtual Production (VP) in advertising production. The synergy of the Dexter Group, uniquely possessing VP technology while spanning all fields of film, drama, OTT, exhibition, and advertising content in Korea, stood out.
Dexter Studio announced on the 12th that its subsidiary, Dexter Crema, participated as a speaker at the Content Marketing Summit (CMS 2024).
CMS is the largest content marketing conference in Korea, serving as a platform to share changes and trends across industries such as brand strategy, storytelling, media, and entertainment. Top experts, brands, and agencies in the field gather to discuss the latest trends, success strategies, innovative cases, and technological content.
This year, key presenters included Greg Hoffman, former Nike CMO; Allen, former creative producer of MrBeast, the world's number one YouTube channel with 300 million followers; and Jang Ho-gi, producer of Netflix's "Physical: 100."
Son Dong-jin, CEO, who led the virtual marketing session, explained the current technology, development, and next-generation trends in response to changing times under the theme "Virtual Production: Opening a New Chapter in Next-Generation Marketing." He proposed a new perspective, stating, "It is necessary to focus on the scalability of virtual production, which is becoming a stage for creators' inspiration beyond the concept of an efficient production method."
Based on collaboration with Dexter's own virtual studio D1, which recently executed an Amazon Prime Video project using Korea's first VP technology, he also presented specific workflows and advantages.
CEO Son mentioned multiple brand advertising examples, including films and OTT series, saying, "It improves convenience not only in terms of model and actor immersion, safety, location permits, and on-site factors such as weather and lighting but also in set interior and post-production." He added, "Locations that are difficult to visit directly can be filmed anytime, significantly reducing costs and time, and set changes and lighting control can also be handled flexibly."
