Promotion of Railway Safety Guidelines at Line 1 and KTX Busan Station
On the 11th, Busan Transportation Corporation, together with the Busan-Gyeongnam Headquarters of Korea Railroad Corporation, conducted a safety accident prevention campaign at Busan Metro Busan Station and KTX Busan Station for railway passengers and citizens visiting Busan for Chuseok.
The campaign aimed to raise public awareness about various safety accidents that can occur while using the railway, and to promote a culture of safe railway use, such as orderly use of train doors.
In particular, the campaign strongly emphasized the need for thorough caution regarding dangerous situations during boarding and disembarking, such as getting caught in train doors or slipping, and focused on promoting safety rules including moving with enough time and refraining from using smartphones while boarding or exiting trains.
Lee Byungjin, President of Busan Transportation Corporation, said, "Through this joint safety campaign with railway organizations, we hope to help enhance the safety awareness of those returning home and tourists during the Chuseok holiday and to prevent accidents," adding, "We will strive to spread a proper public transportation culture so that citizens can use the metro safely."
