According to Taiwan's Central News Agency on the same day, TSMC revealed through a statement that Chairman Wei recently conveyed this message to employees via an internal letter at an event. Furthermore, TSMC emphasized that it is building a work environment focused on the values of diversity, equality, and inclusion.

Chairman Wei said that although TSMC has achieved enviable success, there is still room for improvement in terms of respect and regard.

In recent years, TSMC has strengthened efforts to expand globally to mitigate the impact of geopolitical tensions. However, differences in work cultures across regions have sometimes caused friction. Last year, Fortune, a U.S. business magazine, introduced statements from several current and former U.S. TSMC employees expressing dissatisfaction with TSMC's long working hours.

Regarding Chairman Wei's remarks, Guo Zhuhui, Taiwan's Minister of Economic Affairs, said that although TSMC is expanding into the United States, Japan, and Germany, Taiwan remains its base.

In Taiwan, TSMC is regarded as Hoguk Shinsan (護國神山, the sacred mountain protecting the nation) and viewed as a core business.

Minister Guo predicted that TSMC will dispatch engineers overseas for global expansion and said that employees need to cultivate an inclusive work attitude to collaborate with foreign colleagues.
