A variety of cultural performances in different genres commemorating the 10th anniversary of the relocation of the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service, a public institution in the Gwangju-Jeonnam joint (Naju Bitgaram) Innovation City, will be presented to audiences.

According to Naju City on the 11th, the "Naju Innovation City Relocated Institutions 10th Anniversary Commemorative Excellent Planned Performances," hosted by Naju City and organized by the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service (Chairman Jeong Byeong-guk), will be held monthly from this month until the end of the year.

The performances consist of various genres including theater, dance, classical music, and traditional Korean music (gugak). All performances are free of charge for citizens and employees of the relocated institutions to promote cultural welfare.

The first performance is a play titled "Women Manse 2," directed by popular actor and Chairman of the Korea Broadcasting Actors Association, Director Choi Soo-jong. It is scheduled to open at 2 PM and 7 PM on the 20th at the Naju Culture & Arts Center.

The drama depicts the uneasy cohabitation between a 70-year-old grandmother boarder and three generations of women living in one house, telling a story of finding family love through each character’s life journey.

Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at the Culture & Arts Center starting two hours before each performance.

Upcoming performances include the dance "Peter Pan" by Seoul Ballet Theater on October 26, the play "Then and Today" by Gongyeon Baedal Ganda on November 16, the classical music "The House Concert" by The House on November 21-22, and the traditional Korean music "Two Grandmothers Bonpuri" by Pansori Ajit on December 18.

Jeong Byeong-guk, Chairman of the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service, said, "To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the relocation of public institutions to the Innovation City, we have prepared various genres of performances that are usually hard to experience, free of charge. I hope the citizens of Naju gain vitality in their daily lives through cultural enjoyment."

Yun Byeong-tae, Mayor of Naju City, expressed gratitude, saying, "I thank Chairman Jeong Byeong-guk for providing this valuable opportunity to enjoy various cultural genres even outside the metropolitan area. We will continue to prepare cultural and artistic performances in cooperation with the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service through this planned performance series."
