Fire from Outlet on 3rd Floor of Building
No Casualties Reported
At around 2:26 PM on the 11th, a fire broke out in a building at Korea University in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, causing about 100 people to evacuate.
According to the fire authorities, a report was received that a fire had occurred at the Asan Science Hall of Korea University in the afternoon. Approximately 100 people, including school officials and students inside the building, evacuated, but fortunately, there were no casualties.
The fire department dispatched 104 personnel and 25 vehicles. The fire was confirmed to have been extinguished on its own before the firefighters arrived.
The fire authorities stated, "The fire is believed to have started from an outlet on the third floor of the building," and added, "The exact cause is under investigation."
