Asleep offers the application ‘SleepRoutine,’ which uses AI models to monitor sleep stages and periods of respiratory instability. It also provides the ‘Asleep Platform’ service targeting corporate clients.
CEO Lee explained, “The core of Asleep’s technology is that anyone can easily and accurately measure their sleep state using a smartphone they already have. It collects breathing sounds, and AI analyzes and visualizes the sleep state.”
Asleep has focused on improving the accuracy of AI that analyzes sleep states. By utilizing 10,000 noise data samples for training, it can accurately track and analyze sleep states even in environments with various noises. Additionally, it applied over 4 million home environment data points and more than 10,000 hospital polysomnography data samples in its training.
CEO Lee stated, “Asleep is currently considered the most accurate sleep tracking service. It was selected as the best-performing service by a tech media subscribed to by 30 million people, and in tests measuring AI model accuracy, it scored 0.77 out of 0.8, about 1.5 times more accurate than the Apple Watch.”
Asleep is expanding its B2B (business-to-business) operations by collaborating with companies across various fields such as SK Telecom, Samsung, Kyungdong Navien, and Ceragem. In May, it also received approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety as a digital medical device assisting in the diagnosis of sleep apnea.
CEO Lee said, “In the future, a ‘sleep scale’ like a weight scale will emerge, and an era will come when sleep is managed like weight. We will play a role in observing, understanding, and transforming sleep.”
