Woori Bank, Financial Fraud Victim 'WONcheon (Woncheon) Block' Campaign

Protecting Financially Vulnerable Groups and Aiming to Prevent Financial Fraud at Its Source

Woori Bank, Financial Fraud Victim 'WONcheon (Woncheon) Block' Campaign

Woori Bank announced on the 11th that it will actively participate in the financial authorities' policy to promote the prevention of financial fraud and protect customers' financial assets by launching the "Financial Fraud Damage WON泉 (Woncheon) Blocking Campaign."

This campaign aims to protect financially vulnerable groups and prevent financial fraud at its source by guiding customers to easily apply for the "Safe Blocking Service for Credit Transactions," which was implemented on August 23, through Woori Bank branches.

The "Safe Blocking Service for Credit Transactions" is a system designed to prevent financial fraud by preemptively blocking new credit transactions such as unsecured loans, secured loans, and credit card issuance that the customer does not wish to undertake.

In particular, this service can be easily subscribed to at branches after a simple identity verification process, and it is expected to play an important role in preventing financial damage to customers.

Woori Bank will also conduct various promotional activities targeting customers who are not familiar with the digital environment. Using offline channels such as △branch lobby TVs △branch digital posters △customer tablet monitors △ATM waiting screens, the bank plans to actively raise awareness of this system and prevent financial fraud.

A Woori Bank official stated, "The Safe Blocking Service for Credit Transactions is an important service that protects customer assets in advance. Through this campaign, we aim to raise customers' awareness of increasingly sophisticated financial crimes and contribute to the prevention of financial crime," adding, "We will continue to provide various campaigns and services in line with the financial authorities' policies to protect financial consumers."
