From the 11th, first 300 people only
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications on a first-come, first-served basis starting from the 11th for citizen procession groups to participate in the reenactment parade of the '2024 Jeongjo Hyo Cultural Festival and Jeongjo Daewang Royal Procession.'
The Jeongjo Daewang Royal Procession will take place on the 6th of next month, and citizens who wish to participate will wear traditional clothing and Joseon Dynasty accessories such as gat and paeraengi while joining the parade. The parade route is from Dongtan Central Park to U&AI Center, Anyong Middle School, and Jeongjo Hyo Park.
Any Hwaseong citizen can participate, with the number of participants limited to 300. The participation fee is 5,000 won, and participants will receive a small souvenir, a lunch coupon, and 8 hours of volunteer service credit.
The city explained that this year’s event will recruit participants for both a half course and a full course to offer a wider range of route options. Those who wish to participate can apply through the 'Jeongjo Hyo Cultural Festival' website.
