Yeomchang Woosung 1st and 2nd Apartments and Samcheon Apartments in Gangseo-gu, Seoul have passed the reconstruction safety inspection. These apartments are aging residential complexes over 30 years old, where residents have shown strong enthusiasm for reconstruction due to poor parking conditions and outdated facilities within the complex.

Gangseo-gu has actively supported the process in various ways, such as operating a redevelopment and reconstruction expert support group and providing interest-free loans for safety inspection costs to ensure swift progress of reconstruction. As a result, in July, the safety inspection service concluded with a "conditional reconstruction" judgment, marking the first hurdle in advancing the project.

To proceed with the project in earnest, the district held an advisory meeting of the redevelopment and reconstruction expert support group on the 10th, where the final decision to implement reconstruction was made through a review of appropriateness and other assessments. This outcome was achieved in less than a year since residents first applied for the safety inspection.

Going forward, these apartments will undergo the establishment of maintenance plans and the initiation of maintenance district designation procedures. The district plans to support the review and advisory processes of maintenance plans through the expert support group to accelerate the project.
