"Don't Worry About Parking" ... Goseong-gun to Open Public Parking Lots for Free During Chuseok Holiday

Goseong County in Gyeongnam announced on the 11th that, in celebration of the Chuseok holiday, it will partially open some of its public parking lots, which are usually operated for a fee, free of charge to provide parking convenience for residents and tourists.

This free opening applies to 11 locations: Seowoe Public Parking Lot, Dongwoe Public Parking Lot, Dongwoedeul Public Parking Lot (from September 14 to September 18), three on-street parking lots, Terminal Public Parking Lot (from September 15 to September 18), Goseong Dinosaur Market Public Parking Lot, Goseong Market Building Underground Public Parking Lot, Goseong Market Public Parking Lot (from September 16 to September 18), and Songhak Covered Stream Public Parking Lot (from September 17 to September 18).

The purpose of opening public parking lots for free during the holiday period is to provide parking convenience for returning residents and traditional market visitors during the Chuseok holiday, thereby revitalizing the local economy and traditional market businesses.

A Goseong County official stated, "We will strive to alleviate parking inconveniences for Goseong residents and returning visitors by opening parking lots free of charge during the Chuseok holiday," adding, "We also ask residents to follow traffic safety rules and enjoy a happy Chuseok holiday with their families."

Meanwhile, on September 6, Goseong-eup Dongwoe Public Parking Lot completed the refurbishment of outdated facilities, including the installation of a parking control system, maintenance and repainting of parking spaces, and safety fencing.

Along with Dongwoe Public Parking Lot in Goseong-eup, Dongwoedeul Public Parking Lot and Seowoe Public Parking Lot are currently operating free of charge and will be operated as paid parking lots after administrative notice of paid operation.
