An accident occurred in which a vehicle suddenly stalled on a sloped road inside an apartment complex, rolled backward, and struck a woman in her 40s who was walking by, resulting in her death.
According to Busan Geumjeong Police Station on the 11th, at around 8:36 a.m. on the 10th, an SUV that was driving uphill inside an apartment complex in Bugok-dong, Geumjeong-gu, suddenly stalled and rolled backward for about 20 meters, hitting a woman identified as A, who was behind the vehicle.
A was immediately transported to the hospital but died. The driver of the SUV, a man in his 50s, was found not to be under the influence of alcohol.
The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident, including why the vehicle stalled.
