The stock price of Wemade Max, a KOSDAQ-listed company that acquired Mad Engine, the developer of the MMORPG 'Night Crow,' as a subsidiary, is showing strong performance. Wemade Max serves as an intermediate holding company within the Wemade Group, operating as an M&A platform company that discovers and invests in developers.
As of 9:17 AM on the 11th, Wemade Max was trading on the KOSDAQ market at 12,400 KRW, up 730 KRW (6.26%) from the previous trading day.
The day before, Wemade Max announced, "To strengthen game development capabilities and improve management efficiency, Mad Engine will be incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary." Mad Engine was incorporated through a stock exchange, and shareholders subject to the stock exchange will receive 260.8557326 shares of Wemade Max for each share of Mad Engine.
On the same day, Kim Taehyun, a researcher at the Korea IR Association Corporate Research Center, said, "Wemade Max is developing more than 10 new mobile games. In the first half of this year, they released 'Dragon Kkeoeok!' and 'Abyssrium The Classic,' and last month they launched 'Legend of Mir 2: Giyeon.' If the MMORPG 'Mir4 China,' targeted for release in the second half of the year, actually comes out, the revenue growth could exceed market expectations." He added, "The fact that Mad Engine has become a 100% subsidiary is also expected to contribute to revenue growth and profitability enhancement."
