Happiness Alliance Supports 14,000 Meals for Food-Insecure Children in Miryang City

"Continuous Management Even After Project Completion"

The social contribution network Happy Alliance announced on the 11th that it will support a total of 14,000 lunchboxes over one year for 40 children at risk of food insecurity in Miryang-si, Gyeongnam, in cooperation with the city. This support is part of Happy Alliance's "Happy Two Meals Project," a program where companies, local governments, and communities collaborate to address the issue of children at risk of food insecurity.

Companies participating in Happy Alliance have raised the necessary funds to supply lunchboxes with the hope that children will grow up healthy and hopeful. Happy Alliance is responsible for project management, while Happy Dosirak Social Cooperative handles the production and delivery of lunchboxes, providing fresh and safe meals.

Miryang-si has identified 40 children in welfare blind spots as beneficiaries and plans for the local government to continue managing these children even after the lunchbox support ends. This project aims to build a social safety net that enables children at risk of food insecurity to grow up healthily, going beyond short-term support.

Jo Min-young, Secretary General of Happy Alliance, stated, "This project is an effort to raise social awareness about food insecurity and help children facing difficulties grow up healthy," emphasizing, "We will continue to draw attention and support for children at risk of food insecurity."
