Gangbuk-gu Allocates 22.3 Billion KRW in This Year's Supplementary Budget for Key Projects View of Gangbuk District Office.

Seoul Gangbuk-gu District Office (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) announced on the 11th that it finalized an additional supplementary budget of 22.3 billion KRW on the 9th to promote key projects of the 8th local government administration.


The supplementary budget consists of 21 billion KRW from the general account and 1.3 billion KRW from the special account. The budget was allocated to ensure stable promotion of essential and urgent projects as well as welfare projects responding to demographic changes.


Major allocations in the general account include a total of 8.7 billion KRW for general expenses, with plans to implement ▲ support for community leaders (550 million KRW) ▲ career and college entrance fairs (60 million KRW) ▲ snow removal measures (400 million KRW) ▲ shingles vaccination support project (540 million KRW), among others.


Additionally, 700 million KRW was allocated as the district’s share to facilitate smooth execution of national and city government subsidized projects. Detailed items include ▲ emergency welfare support (40 million KRW) ▲ senior citizen center operation support (20 million KRW) ▲ maintenance of school zones (children protection zones) (20 million KRW).


For urgent key projects in the second half of the year, 1.9 billion KRW was allocated, including ▲ maintenance and repair of the district office building (50 million KRW) ▲ reinforcement of the arcade function at Baeknyeon Market (200 million KRW) ▲ establishment and operation of Gangbuk Senior Club (60 million KRW) ▲ creation of symbolic landscape at Gangbuk-gu entrance gateways (100 million KRW).


Through this supplementary budget, the district plans to enhance the efficiency of promoting highly urgent and important projects, stabilize district administration by ensuring smooth execution of local economic revitalization and welfare projects directly related to residents’ lives.


Mayor Lee Soon-hee stated, “This supplementary budget was allocated through selection and concentration to use limited resources appropriately for projects that must be promoted in the second half of the year. We will do our best to realize ‘Gangbuk that empowers my life,’ satisfying our residents by successfully carrying out the planned projects.”
