Full Effort to Prepare for Waterborne and Foodborne Infectious Diseases
Hapcheon County in Gyeongnam announced on the 11th that it will operate an emergency quarantine system to respond to the potential outbreak of waterborne and foodborne infectious diseases, as well as the spread of COVID-19, due to large-scale population movement and hometown visits during the Chuseok holiday.

From September 14th to 18th, when the Chuseok holiday begins, a 24-hour emergency contact system will be maintained, and a cooperative system with related agencies will be organized to ensure a prompt and timely response.
In addition, during the Chuseok holiday, designated prescription and dispensing institutions by region will be operated to ensure smooth diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19. The county stated that it will minimize inconvenience for residents by ensuring a sufficient supply of oral therapeutics to the dispensing institutions operating during the holiday through smooth supply adjustments.
Meanwhile, since the 2nd of this month, the Hapcheon County Public Health Center has been inspecting infection control measures at 24 facilities vulnerable to infection. The center has requested that these facilities reorganize their internal response systems and infection control supplies in the event of a COVID-19 outbreak, and has instructed them to report to the health center and maintain an emergency contact system if two or more cases occur within seven days, in order to actively prepare for group outbreaks.
