Sacheon City in Gyeongnam Province announced on the 11th that it will implement the "2024 Chuseok Holiday Comprehensive Plan" to ensure the safety and convenience of returning visitors and citizens during the upcoming Chuseok holiday.

The comprehensive plan consists of four main areas and 18 detailed measures: a bountiful holiday without worries about shopping, a warm and caring holiday, a comfortable and safe holiday, and a pleasant and happy holiday.

During the five-day Chuseok holiday from the 14th to the 18th, the city will operate a "Chuseok Holiday Comprehensive Situation Room" with 108 personnel from 11 departments to monitor various situations in real time and respond swiftly as needed.

In addition, to ensure a comfortable and safe holiday, a disaster safety situation room will operate 24 hours a day, and a special transportation countermeasures situation room will be set up to alleviate traffic congestion and manage major road traffic conditions for those traveling to and from their hometowns.

Twenty key daily necessities and holiday items have been selected for focused management, and a joint price inspection team will frequently monitor supply conditions and price trends.

To prevent the recent resurgence of COVID-19, an emergency quarantine system will be activated, and emergency medical measures will be implemented at public healthcare institutions.

During the Chuseok holiday, medical institutions and pharmacies will remain open to minimize inconvenience for citizens. Related information can be obtained through the public health center’s emergency medical situation room, the emergency management center (119), the city/province call center (120), the Health and Welfare Call Center (129), the city’s website, or the emergency medical portal.

Additionally, the city will operate the "Visiting Provincial Labor Counseling Service" to resolve unpaid wages and support the livelihood stability of affected workers, as well as the Forest Fire Prevention Headquarters and inspection teams for the origin of agricultural, fishery, and livestock products.

Meanwhile, to create a warm and caring holiday, the city will provide daily necessities to approximately 3,600 people, including 36 social welfare facilities and low-income households, and will conduct extensive environmental cleanup activities for a pleasant and happy holiday.

Mayor Park Dongsik stated, "Through this comprehensive Chuseok holiday plan, we will do our utmost to ensure that returning visitors and citizens can enjoy a safe and comfortable holiday," and added, "I hope all citizens have a bountiful and warm Chuseok."
